Teleparty is an app that you install into the web browser on your desktop (or laptop) computer. This allows you to watch shows and movies in synchronization with the rest of the family. It requires you to sign in to your own streaming platforms so that everything is 100% legally shared.
Teleparty only works with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. Most likely, you are already using one of these browsers, but if not, we recommend that you download Chrome (which you can find at this link).
Here are detailed instructions for installing Chrome:
- Go to the Teleparty website and click “Install Teleparty” in the top right corner.
- This will link to the Chrome Web Store. Click “Add to Chrome” and then “Add Extension” on the popup.
- You should be taken to the Get Started page for Teleparty, where it steps you through pinning the extension (optional), granting permissions (required), and choosing your platforms (optional).
- That’s it! You are done and can close the window until its party time!
